I want to install an alarm system on my Sporty but I am a bit confused about what Harley sells.
If you want the Smart siren kit with the pager, do you have to also have the smart security system installed? Are they two seperate systems?
Is there a better alarm system that integrates into the bikes harness without cutting and splicing wires?

I went "full tilt" and had the siren and pager installed. They are add-on modular units to the standard security system that comes stock.
My pager module lasted 13 months and burned up, so much for that.
Thesiren is basically worthless, and easily muffled. I'm thinking of removing it.
IMHO, after 2+ years I've concluded I wasted my $$ on the pager and siren. The stock security system that shuts down the electronics is sufficient with the fork lock to secure the bike in most cases. Ido use a fork lock if I'm feeling paranoid but the sad truth is, if someone wants your bike, they're gonna get it.

Yes, you add the alarm system (TSSM) then optionally can add the Smart Siren/pager, then can add the pager receiver. I added the HD Security sys and the smart siren/pager this winter. I am planning on the pager receiver II, but may wait on it. at least now someone will not be able to easily jimmy the ignition / hotwire the bike and ride it off.

I really do like the pager system...had someone "F'n" with my bike and dropped while it was parked at a friends house.
I saw Chicago HD has a 20% off sale, I could get all three for $300.

That would not be too bad. I trolled e-bay and got the system for $111 and the siren for $27, both in the box w/ everything including manuals & unused. Still waiting on the pager. The OL keeps saying I'm better off without the pager, since she is convinced I will get there just in tme to get my a$$ shot off while someone is carrying the sporty away.
But I would be more comfortable knowing ivf someone is f)(&*ng with it.
