Look close for the black plugs. Finding the holes was the hardest thing for me LOL

is there a reason why these mounts won't work formy 2008?
when i look online for mounts its says the above ones are for a bikes up to 2003. The 2004-Present mounts (picture below)look totally different. (and are way more expensive) so could i use the above mounts for my bike? has the frame really changed that much where you need different passenger mounts? thanks.
