Ya'll, I'm so proud tonight! I came home from a boring @$$ day at work to find it was 70 degrees and absolutely gorgeous outside. So, I put on my brown fringe leathers, black boots, black gloves, black helmet - told the hubby "see ya later" and took off. As I was coming down my street to the house, it happened - I turned 1000 miles!!!!!! I just got my bike - first one of my life - on my 40th birthday in September, and am completely possessed by it! I am in South Carolina, so there really is not an "off season" for riding. I get on it any possible time I can and just go..... I will be a Harley rider till the day I die, and I can't wait till my first road trip! I am originally from WV (transplanted to SC) and am just dying to get my bike back home to hit the mountain roads. Well, I just felt like sharing my absolute and utter jubilation at breaking 1000 miles. I'll be sure to let you know when I hit 5000! Ride safe!
Congrats! I know how you feel. I learned to ride last year, after I purchased my bike at the end of April. Took the MSF course the first weekend in June, took the ERC course last Sunday and Passedand as of today I've put 8,675 miles on her. And I'm STILL smiling...
