Default Another Cleaning Question....

I have a problem with gas leaking from the petcock or fuel line. Now there is a brownish stain on the aluminum engine case from the gas dripping on the hot engine. I can't seem to get it off with anything I have. I tried Gunk engine degreaser, and mag wheel cleaner (spray) with a brass brush. Any ideas on what will work? Here's a pic of the stained area.

Soak a Q-tip in lacquer thinner, it will come right off. Be careful not to get it on anything else.

I guess that would be like varnish from the gas... I'll try that. Thanks.

Use the Q-tip to soak the area, try to pond the area, scrub a bit with the q-tip. Then it will come right off with a rag.

Under my air cleaner where the jugs V was bad, real bad when I bought the bike. 15 minutes later it looked like it does now.
