What if the places were reversed? What would you like then?
I wouldn't be so damned lazy that, instead of walking the extra 40 or 50 feet,I crowded a stranger so that they could barely move their bike. I wouldn't do it in a car or a bike.
Christ, man, it's someone who works at the same place. Get a little less territorial. Park on the side and let him have some room. There's far more important stuff in life than who gets what parking space (if there isn't, you've got one hell of a good life).
Geez... sorry I brought the topic up.
I just wanted to know if it was normal for some jerkoff to park inches from a stranger's bike because they're too lazy to walk from the other side of the lot. I paid hard earnedcash for my bike and would prefer that it not be molested by those with little respect for other's property.
Not a big deal. I have had folks pull in my space. Never a problem. Plenty of other things to worry about than some dude trying to find a space to park and wants to share.
im kinda on the fence about this. honestly, a "nice" guy gets his bike scratched or tipped over. i personally would rather be a jerk than have my bike touched. talk to the guy, tell him he can share just dont crowd you. if it continues, its time to take other measures
I personally don't think it's "cool" to park next to you without at least introducing himself. By not saying anything you are condoning his actions. Should you let him continue? That's up to you, but a cordial contact should be made in my opinion to at least work out a solution. And invite him to ride with you sometime! Then again, he may just be a total inconsiderate d*ck, but probably not. An average parking space is nine feet wide, line to line.
I personally wouldn't try to squeeze into a space with another bike parked in the center of the space, definitely not if I don't know the rider, but that's just me.

i may be nice, but i pull in and only take 1/2 of the space so other bikes can share it with me......I also do not park in the front row of the parking space....i little walking never hut me
