why should you be nice....that is bull ****.... if he wanted to share a space he should of ask you... not him just pulling in your space that **** is rude... i would never pull into someones space that they are already parked, unless it is bike parking only spaces.... i would come to you and ask could we share a space and if you were not comfortable with that then that would be just fine with me..... but since he is not man enough to come to you you need to go to him and talk to him and tell him why you want a whole space..as not to get it dented by a car/truck...
I'm all for sharing a spot with a fellow rider but since you don't see him come in and actually park I wouldn't advise taking the time and watching. Especially if you've thought about it this much already.
Parking your bike in the middle of the spot or diagonally(or any way to prevent another biker from sharing) purposefully will get under your skin even more if you actually watch them tip toe in between your bike and a cage.
You've obvioulsy tried to park in a manor that says stay away with no response, if it was me i'd just accept the fact your know another rider may park in your spot and set yourself up accordingly to be able to mount and straight'n it out.
Park diagonally across the front portion of the spot.
+1....I park almost all the way across the front of the space. All the little metrics and crotch rockets use the other MC spot down the way and leave my bike the hell alone.
I'd leave some room - there's plenty of room in a normal parking space for 2 bikes. At work we have three 5 foot parking slots for bikes. We generally get 5 bikes in there and no one has ever had any problems. But then again we do talk to each other.
We had a guy here that would park diagonally across a spot, in such a manner that nobody else could fit a bike in there.
What WE did to fix the problem, was this: We would either use cars, or our bikes, and park in the stalls on either side of him, right on the dividing lines between stalls. After a couple of days of his needing to roll his bike back n forth 10 or more times to get it angled enuff to be able to get out, he knocked it off.
