there is one guy that I have seen on here that put a new black one on. It looked like he mounted it on the bottom of the triple tree but I lost the thread. Maybe he will repost the pic.
I would think you could just drill a hole into the triple and use a regular light or a custom's light setup.
You can, but you need to use a custom mounting block...J&P sells em cheap, or you can make your own. You'll also need to hide your wiring connectors somewhere else.

yup I was thinking that too, but wasnt sure if the new light may come with one. either way I found on on ebay for 20 bucks in under 1 minute.
