It's been going on for a while now. It's on the right side of the bike and I can't pin down where it's coming from, but it's a kind of clicking, clacking, almost scraping kind of noise. It's pretty steady/rythmic with the engine speed. You can hear it more when you're sitting at idle with the clutch disengaged and when you're going a slow speed in slightly high gear.
Engine oil is excellent but I haven't checked the primary oil. I thought it might be a heat shield coming loose but they're all on there pretty good. Any thoughts? If you have any questions or quick tips I'll try them out and get confirmation before I respond. Thanks
Next time it does it put your hand on the gas cap. I chased a noise on mine for a while, sounded like a rattle with a slight scrape sound to it. It was, the gas cap was making the damn noise.[:@]
You're talking about the clamps that hold the mufflers on? If so then that actually makes sense to change those clamps. It says that you have to change those after you take them off right? They're one time use only, well I didn't change them, I put the same ones back on after I changed out the mufflers.[sm=oopssign.gif] Well, I'll run the ole dealership and get two of those today I guess. I'll let you guys know.
