Coming home last night trying to outrun a storm and my clutch cable broke. Good news I was only a half mile from home. Bad news I was turning onto my street so I was in first gear. How hard is it to replace the cable? I did a search, but it appears from the posts I read that it is different for the newer models.
I wouldn't think you'd even need the manual. Just get the cable, route it along side the old cable, then connect it up and remove the old cable. I did those when I was 12 years old.
And be careful when you tighten the threads into the case. The threads on the cable are very very weak. Hand tighten and maybe a wrench a tad but that's it. I snapped the first one on my first attempt.
Thanks for all the help guys. I am going to order a manual today. And dbleagle, I had a brainfart or somthing about shifting without a clutch. Your right.
