Low fuel warning light

The local HD dealer worked on my bike for many hours today trying to make my low fuel light shut off. Tried a different tank, different speedo, inspected all the wires and connections and everything in between and they cannot make the low fuel light shut off. They have sent a query into HD to try to get an answer but there definately seems to be a ghost in the machine.

Mine started at about 1500km, I,m now at 13000 km and this was the second time they tried to fix it. I told them if they can just make the light shut off I will be satisfied as as I use my trip meter for tracking my fuel consumption, but apparently that wasn't an option. I guess I just wait and see what HD HQ says.
mileage is diff on highway. if you are going by the reset the odometer method at each fill up. i get 65-79 miles around town before the light turns on. 95+ on the highway.
