I have read several posts saying that if you remove your visor you will get rid of the feeling that your head is being pulled off at freeway speeds. \\; I kept telling myself, "Yeah, I will have to try that, but how much difference can a dinky little visor make?" \\; Well, I am here to tell you, the previous posters were right - it makes a HUGE difference. \\; I could not believe the change! \\; Hey, now I don't need to buy a new helmet. \\; Now, if I can just solve the wind noise.... \\; Oh yeah, you guys mentioned ear plugs!
 \\;
Seriously, guys - THANK YOU!

The second I opened the box for my \\;Daytona 3/4 helmet I tore that thing off... I think those things are so doofy looking... I've never ridden with one but I can imagine they're like a kite on your forehead.
i have a polo shorty, non-dot, and i even wear that backwards so the wind doesn't hit the lip in the front. I couldn't imagine how bad it is with an actual visor on the freeway.
I took off my visor based on the same forum advice you read I bet. The issue was that I wore a helmet that even without the visor had foam and stuff that was about 1.5 inch off the forehead. Even that grabbed a bunch of air and was still pulling a small amount. Fellow riders in my area recommended I go to a Skid Lid and the pulling is pretty much gone now. \\;
Hey Steve,
 \\;\\\\\\;
How is that Daytona 3/4 by the way... is it really slim in comparison to others? Thinking about betting one myself
 \\;
I posted about the Daytona helmet, I dont know if thats what he has too or not....
I like mine a lot, its pretty slim fitting. \\; It's smaller than my buddies old Shoei 3/4 and shaped almost exactly the same... They come in three sizes of outer shells for the size of the helmet, instead of just adding more crap inside and having size mediums the same size from the outside as a XXL like a lot of companies. \\; I really wanna get it painted to match my bike though because the black is hotter than hell when its over 80 out and you aren't moving fast.
