Default GPS System installed, love it!

Just bought a Magellan 4210 GPS system, 4.3 inches touch screen, super slim design, I mounted it on my Kuryakyn 1 inch handlebar clamp (bought it earlier for my camera). I put rubber bushing between the GPS mount and clamp, it seems to be pretty good, no vibration at all. I took it for a 30mins ride, choose 3D map view which is cool, this unit has good response time, the compass and vehicle speed are bonus. The only complaint I have is the vehicle speed latency, I would say about a second, don't know about other GPS, it could be me. I am really happy with this unit, $169 + $9.99 mounting clamp, can't beat the price. I will get a anti-glare screen film tomorrow.

Yes but remember, it isn't waterproof, you will not find anything cheaper than $500. I seldom ride in the rain, not a big deal, worst case I just cover it. I like this big screen, easy to view the map.

Looks sweet, I did something similar to mine but I used those normal clamps that you tighten with screw.

I got a cheap Navigon that beats any $500 and up GPS units.

To avoid rain just use the good old Ziplock bag with a rubber band

Now I wanna upgrade it with that mounting clamp you used where did you get it?

Another interesting thing is that you said you can get anti-glare film for the GPS? That would help alot in the sun!

Does it have some sort of "trip tracker"?&nbsp\\; I've been lookin into getting a gps unit and have seen some that record your trip then you can go back and upload it to your computer.&nbsp\\; Thought that would be interesting for some "go where the road takes you" trips.

Ziplock bag is a great idea!
For the chrome clamp, click here.
I don't know where you live, you can find anti-glare film online, click here.
First I wanted to get one from rammount but it sits quite high, I didn't like it, I want my GPS sits lower.

Ok...that might be more practical than a camera! That would come in handy! And for only $170 bucks + the mounting clamp, that's GREAT!!!!! So how well does the color and contrast work? I can see where an anti-glare film would be necessary in bright sunlight. I'm thinkin'....I'm thinkin'....[8D]&nbsp\\;I just might get one!
