Default Drain Plug

I just changed the fluid in the transmission and I seem to have a leak somewhere.&nbsp\\; I was wondering if the drain plug needs anything on the threads or if there is a washer of some sort that the manual does not talk about?&nbsp\\; The bike is a 2006 1200C and I have looked in the manual, but couldn't find anything.

You could put a little pipe thread tape around it.

Thanks for all of the responses.&nbsp\\; I checked the manual again and it does not mention an O ring.&nbsp\\; It had a leak already that now seems to be worse, so I took it into the shop.&nbsp\\; They said that there is not an O ring on the 2006.&nbsp\\; Hopefully they can get me on the right track. Once again, I appreciate the help.
