Hi, I am new to big bikes - I have only ridden small mini-bikes before and have fallen in love with the 08 Sportster 1200 Nighster. I want to buy one, but will probably hold off for a few months to pay a few things off first.
 \\;
Any advice to a newbie about this bike?
go for it. i took the course in late june and bought a nightster last friday. leaving the dealership was my 3rd time ever riding. i love the bike. it gets a lot of looks around town. easy to ride. no regrets.
Great Bike - Despite what some people might (incorrectly) tell you, The 1200 Sportsters are quite powerful. The Nightster is a low riding Sportster and rides very hard.
All Sportsters have a great, raw and classic feel to them. In my admittedly biased opinion, the Nightster is one of the coolest of H-D's recent models.
I agree. \\; Love my nightster. \\; Traded my BT for it. \\; Plenty of power to keep up with the BT's. \\; Nothin is cooler than ridin a sporty.
