5 foot 8" Mustang Vintage Wide Seat puts the Bike at 28" when seated ... Memphis Slims 17" Works perfect have an exact 2" abover the windshield view.. Also prefer the slim look on a Sporty...

One other thing...shields tend to come in odd-numbered heights in inches in two-inch increments. IOW, 13", 15", 17", 19", 21". Most people get 19" to 21". Mine is a 15". Either HD or Memphis Shades brand. National Cycles makes some decent shields. Other brands are out there, too, but the top two for Harleys seem to be HD or Memphis Shades. In fact Memphis shades makes the plexiglass/lexan for HD...I think.

Thanks, this is very useful information. As a new motorcycle rider I didn't even have a clue of what a typical range would be and what decent brands other HD and Memphis are out there.

For reference purposes, I am 72.5" tall and my shield is a Memphis Fats 21.5" My advice is get it short or get it tall, but disdain compromise. You want the flow at your neck or over your head. In between, you take a beating.

So does yours go over your head then?
