Default Forward Controls Sportster 883

I'm a first time rider and Harley Owner. I have a sportster 883 and i wanted to put some forward controls on her. I'm not thje tallest guy in the world, at 5'10-11, but I want to be stretched out more. I already have drag bars and risers on so I'm stretched out up top. I just need the bottom part of my body!

What am I looking at cost wise? Any reccomendations? Brands? Is it easy to make the transition from stock to forward? Any info I'de aprpeciatr! Thanks!

I apoligize if tihis thread already exists, but I suck at searchin these forums.

I used Harley's forward control kit for my 883, they fit up without any problems and work fine. I opted for the polished instead of the chrome and like the look, plus it saved me some bucks. Get a service manual and follow the instructions to do the conversion. It's not that hard to complete.

I used the Kuryakyn forward controls. Changing them out was pretty straightforward...maybe a 2 on a 1-10 of required mechanical skills!!! Check their website for cost.

I'd avoid Kuryakyn.

Just get some highway pegs and leave the mids. You'll be happy you did.

Yea I've considered highway pegs. Only reason why I hesitated is because if you're all stretched out, and somethin happens..you gotta transition real quick to the back break. I dunno. Thanks for the input fellas, I'm going to investigate both!

I had forwards for years on my Sporties and this last winter converted one back to mid's, it was the best decision I made last winter the bike rides better it corners better, and if there is a large bump coming you can stand up and avoid getting your tail bone bruised.
I know forwards look cool but that's all you get!!!!!!!!

Stay away from the Custom Chrome ones. Here is a prime example of getting what you pay for. Even though Harleys cost 3 times as much they are worth 100 times as much.
