Check out the 1200L bars not the 1200C bars. The 1200L bars are similar to mini apes and bring the bars up and back to you for a very comfortable position. I have an 05 1200C and put 1200L bars and have been very happy with them.
I thought of doing this a while back. Do you have the part number for those bars? I have an 06 Custom and don't like the bars anymore either. Did you have to do any other mods or is it just an unbolt/rebolt job?
I don't like the way the ends of the 1200 low bars kinda turn inwards. I would much prefer it if they flared outwards like the dyna low bars while keeping everything else the same. Call me picky.
That in-turn, I would say, is the main appeal of that style. The Dyna Low Rider bars look a lot like the Sportster Custom bars, possibly a little bit longer, defying the point in even changing them. I've never sat on one but they look much the same to me.
Hi, Yeah WVICEMAN I too have a 06 1200C in need of 1200L bars. If You have a parts list I could use it also as wrench I'm not , but if I show up at friends with the parts and libations, well things seem to get done LOL LOL !......WVleo

Dyna low bars are about 4" wider and slightly taller with slightly more pullback.
FatTony is correct. The Dyna Low bars are similar to the 1200/883L bars but with the ends of the grips turned outward more so that your wrists are in a more natural position. The 1200/883L bars bend your wrists inward.
1200/883L bars: 6" rise, 10" pullback and 28" wide
Dyna Low bars: 5" rise, 9" pullback and 31" wide
I havs had both of these bars and prefer the hand placement of the Dyna Low bars. I installed the set of Dyna Low bars on my '05 1200C to gain more pullback because I am short and riding with the stock bars caused my back to hurt. I then got greedy and wanted the extra inch of pullback so I installed a set of 1200/883L bars. Wish I still had the Dyna Low bars.
Hmm. I might have to look into the dyna's more as I'm going for comfort anyway. I just thought they would look a little bit silly being so much wider on a narrow stock sporty front end. The gas tank already looks out of place with that front end! So since I might be switching gears, what all needs to be done to put those on?
