Check out the 1200L bars not the 1200C bars. The 1200L bars are similar to mini apes and bring the bars up and back to you for a very comfortable position. I have an 05 1200C and put 1200L bars and have been very happy with them.

I just bought khrome werks 12 inch narrow glide apes, I didn't like how most apes are so wide, especially with the narrow glide front end.

Thanks. I had the frame cut and chopped to achieve that look. There are 4" extensions in the down-tubes, and an angled rake piece just under the seat. Then it's just 10" over stock fork tubes to complete it.
The Indy did a great job on the welding, even up close it is hard to tell where the extensions are. In fact, most people cannot find them, and I need to point them out.
Overall it came out nice. Rides fine too. It isn't too radical, but it is not the typical run-of-the-mill Sportster either.

I am actually considering chopping the rear to look similar to "goinsideways136";s Nightster. I think that with my front 1/2, and his back 1/2 it would look great! Still pondering the change over this winter though.

The apes off a StreetBob, available at your HD shop, seem to look good on Sporty's IMHO. See pic below
