I drop off the Sportster tomorrow morning and pick up my new Heritage. The one in my sig was a rental. Mine is black. I will miss the Sportster, but could not pass on the trade deal. Besides, the Heritage is one sweet bike. Hope you don't mind if I drop in the Sportster forums from time to time. Good folks over here.
Eh,Sportsters aren't for everyone,my bud just sold his 04' 1200C for a Nightrain. He's 6'5" though,I've rode it,gives me no more thrill than my 883C & it does not have the power of a 1200C & $10K more than my bike was new but he likes it I have been tempted by a Softail Custom just for Dawns & my comfort when she is on. I'm 5'10" and Dawn doesn't ride 75% of the time with me,I'm still trying to get her to ride her own with no luck. She still says she wants to but won't twist a throttle I'll ride my Sportster and be very happy about it. 6 gears would be nice though. He keeps egging me on since I have the loot in the bank at the moment for a down with out trade in but my Sportster isn't going anywhere & that loot is to do some needed remodeling. Ride the **** out those new scoots though!
Congrats! This trade up deal is one excellent offer from the MoCo. If my Sporty was a 2007 or later, I'd probably take them up on it too for an S/E Springer or Fat Bob. For now, I'll sit tight. Good luck with the Heritage..You are going to love that smooth as butter ride....Peace.
All the best to you. Please come back and slum with us every now and then. I want to hear what you love the most about the new bike, and miss the most about the sporty.
