I've got a 2008 Nightster with spoked wheels (stock), will a set of 1993 FXRS Convertible wheels (front is 19" rear is 16") fit? I'm trying to avoid spending over $1,000 buying new mag wheels through Harley...
I'd rather have the black laced wheels but I'd never find anyone wanting a stock cast and front wire .
I can't answer your question specifically but I think a 93 had a narrow rear tire/narrower rim thus needing new spacers, not sure on the rotor/disc fitment and the front on a 93 I'm pretty sure takes a different disc setup vs. your 08. I could be wrong about all that though.
Perhaps the pics or info can help out a little bit more. Lucky for me, this guy is local so he said he would not worry about shipping... Now I just gotta cross my fingers one of you jamokes don't out bid me!
Those look like timken bearings vs. sealed like you have now and I think that rear as I thought before is a 130-140 vs. the 150 you have know. The rotors/pulleys look like they would match up but I wonder what the offset is (you may have to try different offset spacers for the rotors/pulleys to line up and different axle spacers.
Good price and they would look good powdercoated but you might end up with narrower wheels and some headaches with spacers/offsets to get them to work.
You might try asking your HD dealer/parts and service dept. for specs of that year FXRS and cross reference the fit.

why would you put those on a nightster? they're 883 wheels right. i just think it takes away from the old school look of the wire wheels. to each his own though.

If he coated them it would look like the Iron. They're actually similar to the older style invader wheels and from the Dyna sport model which was really popular. I personally like laced wheels but some of the cast spoke wheels either powdercoated or chromed look pretty cool.
If I were you brainfrz I'd keep looking and sell your black wheels as you could get some decent $$$ for them.

I've been looking for some black spoke wheels. I don't like the look of the cast wheels with the direction I am going. The only problem is that I have the dual front brake set up and am not sure if the nightster wheels would work or else I would trade in a heartbeat. If someone knows that they would work with minimal effort shoot me a PM and I'm sure we could work something out. The tires on these rims only have about 2400 miles on them.

You and brainfrz should trade wheels as they would be a direct swap on each bike no problem. Of course you would be left with the empty caliper brackets on one fork leg since you have duals.
