Default Thinking of upgrading eventually

I was actually wondering which big twin was the closest in handling to the sportster, mostly because I'm 6'4'' on a 883 hugger, and the new sportys are even smaller than mine. I'll probably upgrade eventually, just wondering if the superglide was my best bet? Anybody with experience let me know?

I mostly want a little bigger bike because I took the sporty to arizona from ohio and back a couple years ago, had a couple break downs, and I was pretty cramped up on my bike. I'm wanting a new bike, for reliablity, and I rode an '08 sporty and hated it, wasn't even a low, and it was waaaay too small.

I'm definitely keeping the sporty. it's not going anywhere. I'm just looking for a larger bike for the long haul. Electraglide? I'm not ready to be a bagger yet.

I just bought a Night Train after spending a couple years on a sportster. The big things I noticed, Super smooth ride, A *** load of torque! and she handles every bit as good as my sportster did, just alittle heavier.which just makes the bike feel more stabil.

Lot's of big guys get Dyna Wide Glides. I love my Street Bob. I personally think the Bob handles smoother and easier than my old Sporty, mainly because of the lower weight. it is not as nimble though.

So there ya go: a Bagger, a Softy, and a Dyna recommendation in the first 3 responses.

That means take some for a test ride, and find what you like.

That's really what i should do is test drive them. I still like having the skinny 19'' up front, just personal preference, but I rode a fatboy one time, with all the junk taken off to just bare motorcycle, and had a good time on it, but it was definitely not as easy to throw into the turns, and my boots definitely dragged a lot sooner than on my sporty.

The closest you will find as far as handling goes is an FXR (Dyna), but it won't be new as they don't make'em anymore (true FXR's anyway) '93 is the last they made'em, but I do know they have come out with a FXR II and III which is the same bike just left over frames.

The first pic is a three rubber mount motor, and the second is a two rubber mount. Notice in the first pic how the frame under the seat goes down to a triangle, and the bike in the second pic doesn't? This is how to tell a three mount from a two mount, first bike is a '93 and the second is a '94.

Ah! an older dyna! Sounds right up my alley. Thanks! I'll be on the lookout for one.
