Smile 2006 xl883l

Hello im new to the forum and wanted to say hi! Also, I would like to ask a question just to see if anyone had any ideas. I have a 2006 XL883L and am looking to add some highway pegs but, it looks like the only way to add highway pegs is to use a engine guard and attach pegs to it. I dont have forward controls because I drive a lot in town and would rather not have them. It would be nice to have pegs when I do go on long hauls. Thanks guys and look forward to keeping in touch with everyone.

No you don't need crash bars to mount highway pegs.

Hey & welcome to the forum. We're gonna add highway pegs to my wife's IRON. She's gonna keep the mid controls but want's the option to stretch out from time to time. No crash bar.
