I ordered new clutch, brake, throttle and idle cables. Went +6 for 10" mini apes.
Found them at www.magnumshielding.com for $256.00. Instead of SS, I chose the Chromite II woven style.
the brake line and clutch cables had to be extended as well as the wiring. I went with a 61" clutch cable, but probably could have gotten by with 60". I did a 44" brake line but could have gotten by with 43". The throttle cables are still stock, I just re-routed them. They were through the front triple tree and now they are outside of it. All my parts were from the Midwest Motorcycle Supply catalog.
Great!! But what did you do with the speedo, riser and idiot lights?

This was the reason I went with Buckhorns instead of apes. with the buckhorns the stock riser looks good (not like with apes). I kept the stock riser. It would be very difficult to hide all the wiring that comes up through the riser if you change to another riser.

For the wires/ cables that would be exposed, we could always wrap them in steel braid (http://cableorganizer.com/stainless-steel-braid/).
If you're already running SS brake, clutch and throttle cables, wrapping the speedo, idiot lights etc in SS would fit right in.
