i got a 09 iron, and for some reason the low fuel light comes on somtimes all by itself, no matter how much gas i have, anyone else have this problem, just tryin to see if theres a easy fix for it, thanks
It's pretty normal, many on here have reported the same thing and mine comes on every so often for about 10-20 seconds even when I have lots of fuel.
It is reliable when I am actully getting low, it will come on and stay on but I just use my trip odometer to judge fuel stops.
One thing one poster suggested and does seem to help is to tip the bike upright and slosh the gas around a bit before turning on the key after a fill up, seems to reset the float/sensor.
Just stop for gas before you reach the 100 mile mark and you'll be good . use your tripometer, you should have 2, I use one for fuel and the other for oil change.
