Default 1967...help have issues

i im 25 yrs old and i need some help.. im learning more and more as i go.... i have a bad problem...my throttle is staying wide open everytime i give it a lil ...ive already had to dump the bike once cuz it stayed open as i was trying to make a tight turn. i ve been told its either on the handle bars thehousing on teh bars or a spring inside the carburator.. i dont have tons of money and just trying to get the problem fixed... also i wanted to post went to get my bike serviced with an old timer....hs name is paul garbetti in new bedford , mass.. he tore my bike up.. and since getting it back its s runs like **** and he spilt oil and battery acid all over my casing and pipes,,if u come into town dont bother with him...thanks..i ned al the help anyone can ofer on the throttle its a 1967 sportster 1000...

Wow...as '67...would love to see pix of that. Sorry on the mechanical help as I am definitely not a mechanic.

That Sucks Id be pissed if some AZZ hole f**ked up my bike like that. Id take the Old F**K to small claims court get my money for what he F-ed up. It could be some of the things your mentioned and more throttle Cable binding. Grip pushed in to tight on handle bar. When you turn the bars left to right does the RPM increase? I got a darn good Indy down here works on a lot of IRON HEADS. Hopefully someone on here will help you find a indy up in MASS.

Does the grip itself stay in the WOT position? Check the routing of the cable sounds like it is binding.

them old bitches you had to return by hand,they are single cable with no return
you found out the hard way,please be careful and brake on the left side and shifter on right side,if you can post some pictures of this old beast.
