well I want to know if there is such a thing because I replace my bulb in the tail light about once a week. I want a LED strip with turn signals build in for under the tail but can't find one. well I found one but they are like $200 and I could buy alot of bulbs for $200.
what does everyone else do for this issue? I know it has to be common.
BTW not a rubber mount motor.
Do you buy the bulbs from harley?? The ones they sell are not the same as car 1157s bulbs. There about 5 dollars from harley. Napa sells 2057s from what I hear as far as I no a 2057 is just a heavy duty 1157 for 80 cents that will work in the taillight, or u can buy the 5 dollar harley bulb lol
well I think that I am just going to get a LED brake light. I can get one new on ebay for like $20 shipped. has brake/tail/liscense plate functions.
I didn't think it could be a problem because the brake light stays working but the tail light always wants to go out. every time the element is broke right where it connects. there isn't a burnt look to it either.
I dunno, LED's look better any how.
I use 2357 bulbs in my bikes they have more candlepower and there rated to last longer than all the older bulb #'s.
You should also be checking to make certian you don't have a short or a bad socket or something along that line as you are going through bulbs so fast.
i also have problems with blowing-out bulbs. i use a model a taillight, but mine go bad cause of all the abuse of a rigid. i need to get some heavy duty ones. but its wierd also, i have 2 bulbs in there, 1 running light and 1 stop light, and only the running light ever blows out. probaly once every 2 weeks.
