No this one has a hole for the clutch cable it's not slotted so i need to release all the tension in the clutch to be able to remove it though the Primary cover to add the chrome cover
First of all, he is installing a chrome primary cover overlay, not a derby cover....Secondly even if he was removing the derby, no oil will leak out while on the jiffy stand unless it is overfilled to start with.
Original Poster, you WILL need to remove the clutch cable to install the chrome overlay. To do that, you must first drain the oil from the primary AND pull the derby cover.....Then you must readjust the clutch cable and clutch release ball ramp assembly.....Look, if you have never done it, it's really a good idea to let someone else do it while you watch.
