Default 2001 883C Spec...

I saw an 883C advertised on a card in my local newsagents window...it was just a few streets away, and I couldn't not have a look...the guy selling it knows little or nothing about bikes...

Anyway, I bought it (sigh) on a whim, for a great price. 2001 model with 5000 miles. I have a Roadglide, (and a Kwak W650) but know little or nothing about Sporties. I've been googling all morning but can't come up with much about the 883C. Obviously has a 21" front wheel and forward controls, but is the frame the same as other Sporties? Seems low at the back end, is this just down to the shocks?

Will other seats, exhausts etc bolt on, or are they specific to the "C" any info gratefully recieved...

Thanks,
Mark,
N. Ireland.

There were very little to no changes to the frames between '96 and 2003, I believe. Yes, all the frames for '01 would have been the same with just different length rear & front shocks/springs. You can always get different length shocks for the rear that may give you a better ride. Or you can always try changing the preloadon the shocks that are on there.

Everything fits the 883c except you have to make certian any exhaust you look at fits forward controls.
If you have any other questions just ask, I have had a 2003 883C in the garage for years and I now it very well.

Hi, I have a question that is sort of on the same topic. I am looking for a new forward master cylinder for my '01 883c. Do you know what the bore on it would be? It is a single disk brake. Also, I'm curious what the "bore" refers to, is it the size of the banjo bolt or the shaft that the piston moves through?
