Test rode 4 2010 bikes today at the dealers Demo Days.
1st was the Rocker C.
Had a great feel, little to no vibration in the bars, depending on engine rpm. Seat felt comfortable enough. They warned me about steering with the big rear tire. I didnt have any trouble. Loved the 6th gear for out on the highway, with gobs of power. Bumps felt smooth. Feel I could ride this bike for a long distance. Over all I was very impressed with it. It needed pipes tho.
2nd was the XR1200.
I was all pumped to ride this, but found as I soon left for the road, it didnt seem all that great. I didnt like high stance, rear controls (pedals were small). Brought back memories of my crotch rocket days, leaned forward, most of your weight is thru your arms to the bars..tons of vibration in the hands..peppy, quick, and that front brake with dual rotors..wow..just be careful. Dash was cool, as well. Over all not very impressed. Only my opinion, and not for me.
3rd was VRod Muscle. This bike seemed really low to the ground. Right out the yard I didnt like the hydraulic clutch. I cant get a feel for the clutch, like I can with a cable driven clutch. Seemed to have lots of power. Seat was nice with the little back on it. Felt really hunched over tho, and by the end of the short ride, my back hurt. I assume from the leaning forward. Over all nice bike, just not for me.
4th was a ElectraGlide. I know big bagger.. was kind of fun to drive that thing. I could ride this one all day long comfortable, and easy to ride. Lil tricky getting use to the heel toe shifter by easy enough after a few runs thru the gears. Heavy , but not unmanageable. Played the radio which was different while driving a bike. Over all great bike for when I retire, and want to cross the country.
Anyways..this is just my take of great morning at my Dealer Demo days. Might even have the boss convinced at trading his zuki, in on a Xbones.
They are. I was looking into buells when i got my bike. They are tiny! 2 days ago i was drivin somewhere and i saw a dude on a red buell. i thought i looked funny on my sportster (6'0 275lbs) but man..this guy looked like a circus bear on a one of those mini bikes.
they are SICK looking bikes tho. i prefer the styling of the buells over any crotch rocket..i'm sure their small design serves some kind of function but i just wish they were a bit bigger.
