I was out today and I got the bike up to 100mph.It was revving at 5000rpm.The red line is 6000rpm,but my Screamin Eagle ignition module will let it go to 7000rpm.
My question is,has anyone gone over the 100mph mark? I have once, right after I got all my stage 1 done, and the ignition upgrade.I know I can go faster, but not on an open road.I would love to take it somewhere where I can REALLY let it go.Is there anywhere someone can take a bike to REALLY let it go? A 1/4 mile just isn't long enough
there was a whole discussion abut how fast a sporty can go. Many of us have hit the 110 mark some say they have hit 120, that is what we were disputing. I believe it will do 120. As for where to open it up? I have no idea. The autobahn?

The autoban is kind of a far ride, seeing as how I live in Ohio.
That new sporty didnt come with pontoons? I was in ohio and was over 100 headed to chillocothe on rt 50. We do not see that straight aways here in wv like you have on the buckeye so we just had to open them up a little.

The BUB Speed Trials at Bonneville, motorcycles only. Run-whatcha-brung class. Pay your money and you get two passes down the salt.
I ran my Nightster this year and with a one mile run-up, on soft damp salt, I got to 113. I think that with another mile run-up and learning how to tuck (I was about as streamlined as a 500 lb bear on a tricycle) 120 would be possible.
fyi Every time you raise your head you loose 3 mph. Ask me how I know.
