A friend had a "Near death experiance" recently and has left his left foot somewhat challanged. He still craves riding his "Sportie", but has trouble with the shifting.
Question is, do any of you astute riders know of a "Heel / Toe" shifter setup that can be adapted to a stock shifter setup '96 1200? A setup such as this would certainly make his riding much more enjoyable and safe. His legs are pretty short and can't go the foward controls like my Wide Glide has. He'd never reach em.....
Get in touch with a machine shop near where you live. If he could use forwards, look for a heel/toe shifter for a V-Rod. You'll need to mod the shifter shaft and narrow the shiter where it goes on a bit but it does work. A friend of mine has his ankles fused in place, (diabietes) that's what I did for him.

Zimbo,
Thanx for the input, but he is "short" and can't even reach the forwards on my WideGlide.
PS: Had a TR6R myself many years ago. A real fun bike and not for the "just jump on it and ride" crowd.
