Question anyone use a jafrum bag?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a sissy bar backback to use mostly for work. I'm having a hard time justifying the HD sissy bar backpack cost. I found a couple that look promising price wise but wondered if anyone has tried any of the jafrum products and if they were any good?

I'm looking at these:

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Just a word of advice so that you aren't disappointed. Most bags in the sub $100.00 range don't have any internal stiffeners or support. They may look fine in the pictures, but unless they are stuffed full, they wind up hanging off the bike like an empty potato sack.

The first bag I bought was similar to the Jafrum, I used it one time and threw it in the trash, $80.00 down the drain.

If you look at the link Old School posted, you'll notice in the description it says; "Bag maintains its shape when empty".

Charley,

Thanks. That exactly the kind of advice and answers I was looking for. I figured I'd ask a question and try to learn from others experiences. I do appreciate it.

Oldschool,
Thanks for the link to the bag. That is actually something that I am looking for. I tend to carry a fair amount of things to work, since many times I'm coming from my gf's place too. Thanks again.

Default bag...

This is what I use...

On a shorter trip when not stuffed full - I have a cardboard box stuffed in it that fits perfect so it holds it shape...

Cheap and effective....

I got the "leather" Jafrum for 40 bucks on e-bay. It is ok for a cheap bag, I have used mine a dozen times or so. I do not think it would hold up to daily use. I keep this on for daily "ridin to work"
