Need help on lowering a 1200L. My girl friend is 5'2" and on a 1200L she still has to stand on her tip toes to reach the ground. This is a stock 1200L that was at the dealership. Need to know how low can it be set up, seat hight. What would be needed to do this?
Narrow seat, lower seat, will be replacing the stock shocks with Progressive units to help improve the ride.
Yep, I'd start with a narrower & lower seat so it's not spreading her legs/thighs and it allows her legs to go down more perpendicular to the ground. I'd also look at thicker soled boots. You can also go down a little on the shocks, but I wouldn't go to low on the shock height to keep it a decent ride for her. The lower shocks will end up in a rougher ride due to stiffer spring compression rates.

you could buy some "HGH" human growth hormone...and make you girl taller
or better just dump her for a tall chick and save a couple of bucks....LOL
Well I did dump here but it was not intentional. Stopped on the side of the road and didn't get my foot out far enough and laid the bike on its side dumping her off of the bike, she wont let me forget it either. It's our personal joke. I won't get rid of her, been looking for a long time and finally found my match/soul mate.
get a nightster seat. my girl rides my nightster she's 5'4" and can flat-foot it. my nightster is unlowered by several inches.
Thanks for the info. Is this the stock Nightster seat or an aftermarket seat. My bud has installed a springer seat on his Nightster could this be the one?
Ok it looks like a narrower and lower seat will do the trick, along with some Progressive shocks and springs. What brand and part number would you use for this mod?
