First of all, got the email and replied, sounds great, thanks man!
My buddy who works part-time at a bike shop said my stock pipes' baffles are really small and even if I remove them I shouldn;t even need to retune my carb and due to their small size drilling wouldn't make a difference except for LOUDER!
So, I think I am gonna wait until i get some pipes and just add an air filter and rejet everything then...I hope! What type of air filter should I get (Affordable, remember a poor skewl teacher here!) I am thinking one of those cheapo ones on ebay or possibly an S&S.
And the big news...FINALLY finished my bike (for the most part) last night! What should have taken a few afternoons turned into a very long job! But I'm done!
Fat Bob tank, WCC rear fender. Killer flames, 12" narrow glide apes, stainless cables, etc.!!!!! Looks awesome, except for the seat! I willt ry and get some pictures tonight and post them tomorrow. It really, I MEAN really chanegd the bike. I only got to ride it for a mile a sit was pretty late and cold/rainy. Today looks nice out, so hopefully I can get a few hundred mile son it after work...then comes cleaning it.
Super Trapp makes exhaust systems and muffs that have disc's for baffles where you can add or subtract them for different sound and performance. Removing baffles or drilling them can result in a different power curve (torque- horsepower). Rejetting may be needed. If under warranty changing the pipes or air filter may void that warranty.

Grey, I just read that article in American Iron about the SuperTrapps and they look and sound great. Do you or does anyone else know anything about them or have experience with them?
No, 12 Stones, don't know of anyone yet, most everyone goes with SE muffs, best bang for buck. I'll probably go that way too cause I'd like to save up for a second scoot.
if you remove your baffles you may find a decrease in low end torque as well because you will decrease your backpressure. I had my baffles out of my straightshots when i bought the bike and then i put them back in and there was a difference in the low end i could tell right away.
