Alright! I'm planning to ride from Seattle to San Fracisco during Labor Day week; it's my first road trip and I could use any advice, tips, tricks, stories, etc. that y'all feel like sharing.
Dont try to do too much at once... if you get tired pull over...plan ahead....know your route, ive even seen guys laminate the paper with magnets to stick it to the tank....pack light, dont over load the bike with stuff you probably wont end up using anyways, only take nessesities......good luck and ride safe
Lay out all the stuff you think you will need and then take only 1/2 of it. Take a cell phone and a credit card. Have HOG, or other road service in case of flats or breakdowns. Take a break at each fuel stop and drink plenty of fluids, preferably water at every fuel stop.
