Default Handle bar knurling

Putting on some new bars that dont have any knurling. Is there a way to add some myself or an easy DIY technique?
Any advice?

I put knurles on a set of bars using a 18" channel lock pliers that had nice new sharp teeth. Also have a buddy who did the same buy just clamping it hard in a bench vise that had nice sharp gripping plates.

2 very good ideas. you can also hot them with a hammer and punch. may i ask how tall the bars are? i have 14" nash apes w/ no knurling and they don't budge. you should be fine with smaller bars.

"What, me worry?"

Hey, it they end up spinning in the riser clamps, just wrap 2 strips of drywall sanding cloth where they mount in the risers....you will think they are welded.

Hardware store/paint store/Lowes/Home Depot has it. "Drywall sanding cloth", NOT sandpaper! http://www.amazon.com/3M-9094DCNA-Dr.../dp/B00004Z4CO

Been there-done that several times. I've installed tall bars on many scoots including two of my present bikes....The drywall sanding cloth fixed them all cheap and easy.

I didnt have any sanding cloth so i used emery cloth and folded it so the sand hits both sides. worked great.

ps. the reason I did this is because I hit a bad bump in the road wich caused the bars to move. after inserting the cloth I got no movement.
