Looking to replace stock turn signal bulbs with LED lights. bought the LED bulb style lights and they dont light up. I believe i need an equalizer.....just wondering what ppl have done for this, and maybe the cost. Found a wiring harness for $60 which i thought was steep and a module for $20 but i have to splice some wires.

You didn't mention what year you have or if it has the alarm system, Joe. You need the equalizer if you have the automatic turn signal turnoff or the alarm system. The equalizer just acts as a dummy load to fool the system into thinking it's looking at incandesent bulbs that draw more current than the LEDs. I can't imagine what you would need a wiring harness for. A bigger issue, I would think, is from whom did you buy those LED "bulbs" and were they specified for use on your system. If the original bulbs light up and these LEDs don't, then there's something seriously wrong.

 

sorry, i have an 05 1200C. It does have the security system on it. Bulbs are from jamstrait, no specific model mention....

 

I would think that should at least light up.
