I get crap gas mileage on my 07 Nightster. 25 mpg city and less than 40 highway. I'm in CT. The bike has V&H shortshots, SE stage 1 and a Cobra FI2000. Aside from poor gas mileage, the bike runs great. I never rode it stock. Bought it used and had all my aftermarket stuff put on before I picked it up. After a phone coversation with R6C, they said it's most likely the FI 2000 that's causing crap mileage and they gave me some ideas. I'm staring to do research on what the best set up would be for great gas mileage,HP and torque. I'm leaning towards a dyno shop out in RI that likes to use Direct Link (DL). johnsonenginetechnology.com The testimonies are good from the dyno's website but all of the bikes that had it done also had headwork done on them. I heard Master tune-HD is a good option. Like the rest of the gen pop, I want the most bang for my buck. Can you give me some recommendations on what to do, what your setup is and any numbers IRT HP and torque. I have no plans of doing head work to the bike right now. It has next to nothing for mileage. I just want a bit more go and certainly better gas mileage.
