im looking into buying the big sucker, after instalation do you have to get the computer reprogramed?

More than likely........you also want o be careful tightening down those backplate bolts and use locktite. i cracked mine and they sent me a new one.

More air in=more exhaust out=remap. Its not just for looks.

Do you have aftermarket exhaust, if so I would say definately. May get by without it if you still have the stock exhaust. No idea on price though.

i would suggest getting some type of fuel management system, i.e. screamin eagle race tuner or a power commander. you won't be able to get the air fuel mix as finely tuned without one and you'll run lean as a result which isn't good. the exhaust doesn't really have much to do with it, if you were just swapping out exhaust you wouldn't need to remap anything.

i have the vance and hines shortshots. i guess im gonna have to look into the fuel management systems now too. oh well all part of the deal when upgrading stuff.
