Default Neutral Switch/Light problem

Can anyone post the R&I and testing from a 2006 service manual?
Bike is a 2006 883 Low with a neutral light problem.
It has 12 volts at the socket and bulb is good, but will not carry enough amp to light. I think the switch is bad???

The switch on the trans is only a ground. You should have constant 12v at the light, the other should show cont. to ground when the switch is engaged. Easy way to test, DVOM (multi meter) Set to Ohm Looks like an upside down horseshoe, Touch the leads of the tester together and make sure it shows ZERO on the meter. Disconnect the connector from the trans switch. Now with the bike in gear NOT running, and ignition turned on, Put the test leads from a good ground source to where the plug connects, you should get NO reading. Now put in neutral, you should get a ZERO or close to zero reading. if not, replace the switch. If you do, you will need to further diag where the break in wiring from the switch to the light.
