500 miles on the new bike- 1200 Low. had a full helmet, today purchased a new HD 1/2 helmet and " boy can I ever hear the engine (tappet city)holy $h!t is this normal (never noticed the tappet, cam or what ever with the full ear cover helmet.
Called the dealer they said yes the noise is normal for the 1200 Sportster the dealer said get a stage 1 and the tick tick will go away
Just wanted to know if the noise gets better or worse

I hear it at high speed 50-65 mph......dealer said it is the norm for that bike ...........going in for the 1000 mi service I will have them listen at that time (it's a 50mi trip to the shop it should be warmed up by then.)
