Umm, how many miles on the bike? The stock HD pads are pretty much junk IMO, my rear pads were gone in less than 12,000 miles and the fronts weren't far behind.
I replaced the stock HD pads with Lyndall Gold pads, and today I am finally replacing them with another set of Lyndall Golds after more than 45,000 dust and squeal free miles.
BTW, the Lyndall pads I'm removing today, still have a good 10,000 miles left in them. I'm only changing them now because I have the brake calipers off for service and I wanted everything new when I put it back together.
Your pads may be glazed, and that can often be helped by removing them, cleaning with brake cleaner, lightly sanding the pad surface and reinstalling. You would also, at the same time you have them out, want to lightly file a slight bevel to the edges of the pad face.
But that is a lot of work to be reinstalling junk.
both my front and rear brakes squeek. I heard if you wash the rotors with soap and water it will be fine. I am going to do it later this weekend. I'll let you know if it works
