I asked this before but wasn't quite 100% sure of the answer. I have a 2010 48. I have 500 hundred miles on it. Can I install my new v/h straightshots slip ons before I get the 1000 mile check up without having to adjust anything else. Or should I just wait untill I get the check up and do my complete stage 1. thanks
I'm in the same boat as you, I have a new 48, about 500 miles, and I hated the stock exhaust.
I read plenty of threads on here and the general consensus was that if you just add slip-ons, you'll be fine, but once you change the air intake, you gotta get a tuner. Again, that's just what I found out by asking around on the forum.
So I bought the slip-ons and couldn't be happier, they sound awesome.
I'll probably take them off and put the stock mufflers back on before I take it in for the 1000 mile service just so he dealer can't say anything about voiding my warranty.
By then I'll hopefully have enough cash to get an intake and tuner.

Don't worry about that, the dealer won't say anything about voiding the warranty just because of some slip on mufflers. Heck, they probably sell them.
