I recently added a Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather AC and Samson Street Sweeper pipes.
I ordered a Revtech DFO EFI tuner but I accidentally ordered the wrong one- I ordered the HP kit which is "high horse power, high compression" engines. The instructions says it has double the fuel range of the standard version to give the tuner the ability to add far more fuel than usual.
I compared the instructions on the Revtech website for both kits - FI-1251ST (standard kit) and FI-125HPST (high horsepower kit) and the instructions and pot settings are exactly the same.
So can I use the HP kit or do I need to re-order the standard kit.
The pots might be the same but the values they represent are probably not. At best you'll get an over-rich mixture, black smoke, and fouled plugs (if you can get it started). At worst, you won't get it to run at all.
"It may still work you will just have to cut your settings in half on the yellow and red. Here are some settings to try:
Green: 2:30
Yellow: 2:15
Red: 2:00
RPM: 4:30
Let me know if these settings work.
Thanks,
Chris Shover

Hi, I have the exact same problem ('08, 883custom and I got the High Compression DFO). The settings quoted by Revtech in their response above don't work well for me...
Did they work for you? If not, what did you end up with?
thx in advance,
