Default I think I an going sell the N...

I just kinda want something different. I still ride it everyday. I'm not sure yet what I'll get next (maybe an older Sportster). I'm not looking to "upgrade from a Sportster" or anything like that, Sporty's are STILL my favorite HD. I just need a change. I'm probably going to get something that I can REALLY tear into. I never wanted to "tear" into the N too much, as I was afraid to diminish the re-sale value. I'll probably put it back stock, and sell off the aftermarket parts separately. If I am not on here for a while, I just want to say THANKS to everyone on here who has helped me in one way or another. Thanks to all of the people who gave me advice, answered my questions, sold (or gave) me parts, and anyone else who helped me in ANY way. I have learned so much on this forum. This was my first HD, and I'm sure it won't be my last. The search is on for a new project...

Thanks Again,

Chuck

I found a few good project bikes on craigslist, its fun for a while to build the bike the way you want, i know the feeling about not wanting to tear into a stock special edition type bike, I had a 98 xls " sport edition" I know have a flhtp which i got for a sporty price, but trust me if you love riding wait until november to get a project, if you do it now in a matter of weeks the bug will bite ya hard, the projects always seem to cost more time and money then you plan on and depending on year of bike, some are hard to locate at a reasonable price...good luck dude, its an adventure and rewarding but can be a royal pain...

I'd hang on to it for a while...pick up something inexpensive & you'll always have something to ride while you're building your next one.

There's always a point in the build where it needs alot more work to be exactly what you want but at the same time, just a couple little things could make it mobile. So many times I see people choose to just make it mobile and it ends up being cool, but not what they really wanted in the first place.

I'll throw this out there. You will take a serious beating selling your Nightster. The market for motorcycles, especially Harley's and Sportsters is waaaaaaaay down. Test the market. You'll see what I'm talking about.
