2nd gear shifting issues
Hey guys, I have a '91 XLH. Originally an 883 but now a wicked 1200 thanks to Hemi Design Corp out of Cicero, Il. Lately I've been having trouble with 2nd gear. Most of the time when I upshift 2nd gear will not engage. Sometimes if I shift it just right I'll get it but will usually slip out within a minute or so. On downshifting, most of the time I won't get any gear engagement but I will get a faint noise of gears touching. When I downshift to first I get a loud clunk. This is all consistent. 3rd, 4th and 5th shift exactly as they're supposed to without any problems. The fluid levels are good and the primary chain is tightened to specs. I'm thinking I bent the 1-2 shift fork. Any ideas?
