New Bike
On a whim I took the Riders Edge Class (experience on a bike zero), finished yesterday, got my motorcycle endorsement today, marched down to the dealer, picked out a 09 1200 Low, signed the papers, scoffed at the the offer to deliver the bike, and with the wife following in her car in a panic, I rode the 45 miles back to my house. What a blast. I still have a lot to learn but I am pretty damn proud of my self.

props and congrats to you. I had a similiar situation, about 50 miles, but it was on a high speed bypass all the way (everyone does 75-80) and I did not yet have a helmet. I took the delivery.

nice... I chickened out. I paid for dinner and drinks to have a friend ride mine home about 40 miles through Chicago this pass April.
Within 2 weeks had my class, endorsement and bike.
3000 miles later and still riding.
