I am having the hardest time finding a set of Broomstick drag bars. The only ones I can find are the Flanders bars and those are $69.00 at the cheapest.
$70 for a 26" peice of metal with no freakin bends? I can get a good set of drags with a 4 1/2 or 5" pull for $20.00
Anyone know where I can find some straing drag bars?
Maybe they're expensive because they're hard to find and not too many people want them. Don't know where you can get some any cheaper. Most that I saw were in the $100 range and up and not for Sportsters. Good luck.

Check out MSC: http://www.mscdirect.com/ Do a search for 316 stainless steel tubing. There is a size that is exactly the ID & OD for 1 inch handle bars. I'll hit my shop in a bit and see what size.
I bought a 6' piece to use to extend my stainless mid '70s Sporty Buckhorns. Also made a couple sets of drag bars, one with bends, and another set of broomhandles. They polish up nice and will never rust!
Here's the stuff from MSC: Stainless Steel Tubing 304/304L 1" x .065 Welded Part # 01412485 Price = ~$24 per 6' piece
Don't worry about the welded seam. Even the factory HD bars that were stainless, and all the aftermarket ones I've bought, were welded. Once polished/buffed the seam is barely or not visible.
