Default Gone Digital

I recently converted over to a Dakota Digital Speed/Tach and the HD digital LED fuel gauge after installing the 3.3 gl tank.

Just another option for anyone looking at mods for their 48.

I like the look. How much does all that digital stuff cost?? Will it all work on an 02 883 w/ 3.3 gal. tank??

The dakota website lists the gauge years as 04-10 Sportster and Dyna. The Fuel gauge is direct from HD.

Wardawg, is your 48 2010 or 2011?
I have 2011 48, not sure if the will fit?

That looks sweet! I was so close to getting the Dakota myself. That would have been a winter project had I kept the Iron.

how long have you had this setup? Looks really sweet-the website mentions that the clock part draws constant power, sure it can't be much but have you had any issues with that?

No power problems yet...Will be on a trickle charger all winter and I start my bikes once a week during my hibernation periods. If it does draw power it can't be much.

The opening is the same....3 3/8 and it should be a direct plug in. Remove the two allen screws on the bottom plate - pull the plastic outer piece down and push the old speedo up and disconnect the plug, remove the rubber gasket, pull out - replace with new dakota digital in reverse order reusing the rubber gasket.
