Hey i have watched mithigarcha1 on youtube with his nightster and im wondering how i can also get a 200 rear tire on the 48 and who has a good chain drive system. Can you have the rim widened and is it cheaper to do this and re-spoke after its widened or can you just buy another rim and what size would you need to accomplish what he has down on his bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXGoh...e=mfu_in_order
And thats why this video is so cool, he says everything is stock besides the rim, and chain drive, he didn't but a wide tire kit to fit the 200 rear tire, only that that sucks is you have to fabricate your own fend if you want to run one.
I put a 200 on a 2003 without a kit. If you have the ***** to cut & weld then it's pretty easy to do.
Cut and weld the rim? Or what are you talking about?
I wanna get Led Sled's kit, but I'm wondering if I can fit a 180 or 200 tire on my stock rim or if I have to go with something else.
Are the 2003's 1" axle and will other HD rims with 1" axles fit right on?

Cut & weld the frame & swingarm. If you have an 03 you will need to cut & widen the frame then bend it back straight. Easy to do with some patience.
